FOR ART INSTRUCTORS

Your vision.
Our Morocco.

Lead an art retreat in Morocco with Moroccan Meraki

Bring your students to Northern Morocco for a 10-day artist-led journey through blue mountain towns, Atlantic coastlines, historic medinas, and some of Morocco’s most inspiring places to paint.

Moroccan Meraki is an art retreat partner in Morocco for instructors ready to lead an international art retreat or host a painting workshop in Morocco while we handle the local journey.

YOU LEAD THE ART. WE HANDLE MOROCCO.

YOU TEACH. WE HANDLE MOROCCO.

Your students.
Your teaching.
Your vision.

Leading an international art retreat should be about your students, your teaching, and your creative vision—not managing hotels, drivers, meals, reservations, and logistics.

With Moroccan Meraki, you bring your group and artistic program. We build and operate the Moroccan experience around you.

A COUNTRY MADE FOR ARTISTS

A country made for artists.

Northern Morocco offers an extraordinary range of subjects within one journey. The blue streets of Chefchaouen. Whitewashed coastal architecture. Atlantic fishing harbours. Historic medinas. Mountain landscapes. Markets, doors, courtyards and everyday life. Traditional crafts, textiles and zellige. Changing light from the Rif Mountains to the coast.

For an artist, Morocco is not simply a destination to visit. It is a place to observe, sketch, paint and experience.

THE 10-DAY NORTHERN MOROCCO JOURNEY

A retreat built
around your
teaching.

Our flagship instructor experience is a 10-day Northern Morocco art retreat for artists who want to bring a group to Morocco without having to organize the country themselves. It gives you enough time to slow down, teach, and experience each place rather than simply pass through it.

AND THE JOURNEY BETWEEN THEMPart of the experience is not only the destinations themselves, but the transition between them—landscapes, villages, roads, local life, and unexpected places to stop, sketch, and experience Morocco.

YOUR RETREAT. YOUR TEACHING STYLE.

One framework.
Your way of teaching.

The Northern Morocco journey provides the framework. We adapt the experience around the way you teach.

Watercolor, sketching, plein air, drawing, mixed media, long painting sessions, shorter sketches, demonstrations, a slower pace, more cultural experiences, or a balance between the two.

The goal is not to make you fit into a fixed tour. We shape the journey around the way you teach.

PARTNERSHIPS THAT INVITE PEOPLE BACK

Partnerships that
invite people back.

Moroccan Meraki has already worked with artists and instructors who have brought groups to Morocco with us. Some instructors have returned with groups more than once. That matters to us, because the relationship between an instructor, their students and their local organizing partner depends on trust. We want to build partnerships that last beyond one retreat.

Questions about leading an art retreat in Morocco

Practical answers for instructors considering an art retreat partner in Morocco.

What group size is right for an art retreat in Morocco?

The right group size depends on your teaching format, route, and the experience you want to create for students. We discuss the group shape with you as we plan the retreat.

What does Moroccan Meraki cover?

Moroccan Meraki supports the local journey: accommodation, arrivals and transport, meals, guides, cultural experiences, route coordination, and on-ground support.

What does the instructor handle?

You lead the creative direction, teaching, communication with your students, and the artistic program. Your retreat remains your teaching experience.

How do payment and revenue arrangements work?

Payment and revenue arrangements are discussed directly during planning. Start a conversation to receive a partnership outline for the retreat you want to lead.

How far in advance should we plan a retreat?

Starting early gives time to shape the route, confirm the local experience, and introduce the retreat to your community. We can discuss the right planning window for your idea.

START A CONVERSATION

Have a Northern Morocco
retreat in mind?

You do not need to have everything figured out. Tell us what you teach, who you would like to bring, and what you imagine for your group. We’ll start from there.
